The Treaty of Pella
Preamble
The German Empire and The Macedonian Empire share the same values of Order, a Common Monarchy, and a strong sense of Brotherhood. Citizens of both Countries enjoy a great sense of Freedom, and all Citizens no matter what Social Positioning are considered equal. Based on our European, and shared background, there is a strong sense of Brotherhood.
The German Empire, and The Macedonian Empire live to protect the weak, build our lands and our Industrial Areas, striving to bring Prosperity and Order to all lands we control; we also wish to Establish a strong sense of Unity between our two Countries, and wish to Establish a strong Macedonian -German Relations, as well as ensure we have a Place in the Sun.
The German Empire, and The Macedonian Empire hereby Establish this Protectorate Treaty in which The Macedonian Empire will enjoy prosperity and growth from Imperial German Protection.
Upon Signing this Protectorate Treaty, The Macedonian Empire (TME) will become a Protectorate of The German Empire (TGE).
Article I - Respect
The signatory Country and their Member States will treat each other with as much respect and decency as they would their own. Healthy debate and discussion as well as constructive criticism is not to be frowned upon, but all Member States of the signatory Country are expected to show tact and consideration by going through the proper channels when addressing concerns.
Article II - Non Aggression
Both The German Empire and The Macedonian Empire obligate themselves to desist from any act of violence, any aggressive action, and any attack on each other either individually or jointly with other powers. Both The German Empire, and The Macedonian Empire declare their intent to resolve any issues between the parties through regular diplomatic discourse.
Article III - Aid, Advice and Support
The German Empire will provide The Macedonian Empire with economic and military support when needed, including the assignment of military and economic advisor's, access to Imperial German information and documents, and financial aid in the form of direct funding, technology, and troops.
Article IV - Non Espionage
Neither Country will engage, nor condone nor encourage a third party to do so, in espionage on each other. If the a signatory Country receives any information relevant to the other they are to immediately notify them within 24 hours, revealing the nature, content and the source of the information.
Article V - Military Assistance
Both The German Empire and The Macedonian Empire agree to defend the other signatory through direct military action and financial backing if the other signatory Country is a state of defensive war and requests the other signatory to enter and assist it. This is mandatory for The German Empire. The Macedonian Empire is highly encouraged to do so.
Article VI - Foreign Policy
The Macedonian Empire is required to consult The German Empire before making a significant change in foreign policy, such as signing new treaties and declaring war upon another Alliance.
Article VII - Withdrawal
Should either Country wish to end the above agreement, a notice must be given to the other signatory Country. After this, both signatories will pursue a 48 hours grace period, in which they will undertake no actions that go against the nature of this agreement.
Article VIII - Review
Upon signing this treaty, both The German Empire and The Macedonian Empire agree to review this treaty 3 months after it has officially gone into effect. Both Countries should then come together and mutually decide the continuation of this treaty.
